if we havent invented time travel machines yet, we would not see anybody. because if they were idiot enough to come to a time in which their transportation wasnt invented yet, they could not get back. For Example;
if you time-traveled in a car back to a time when cars werent invented, only YOU would arrive there. it doesn't matter if you traveled INSIDE the vehicle. it wasnt invented, so it would not have come with you.
other than that, this journal gives you a LOT of fun and exciting ideas to go on.
just try not to rip up the time-space continuum. (is that how you spell it?)

steven hawking did a documentary about time travel, he stated that traveling back in time is impossible. but you can travel forward in time. it just takes awhile. if a train track went around the world and a you got on that train, and the train went around the earth 7 times each second for two weeks, you would end up about 100 years into the future.
Maybe they're all those people who are unsure of how to operate the technology of today, because their technology is so much more advanced?
